I am so deeply uncomfortable the way Azealia basically told a child that she’s not destined to be shit and she should just go and get her tits done. You can’t fucking woe is me yourself and then basically telling a dark skinned child star that she’s walking on thin ice for working on a white network she’s been on since she was AT LEAST 8 or 9 years old.
Like no nuggets of truth this bird spews can cancel out that she managed to be Islamophobic, spew all sorts of slurs against Pakistani people and other S. Asian people, call a boy who is a naturalized British citizen a dirty refugee, and managed to basically dehumanized a 14 year old black girl and tell her she ain’t shit in the course of a day.

Voter registration should be an automatic process- an opt-out, not an opt-in system. It should be free and simple (No IDs that take time and money to obtain). Election day should be a federal holiday, mail in voting should be easily obtainable, and polling places should be within walking distance for as many people as possible. Voting is a right, and every effort should be made to get the highest voter turn out possible. THAT is how to safeguard a democracy.

I kind of hate the “mankind is responsible for polluting the earth, without humans this world would be so much better” schtick that so many fake eco-conscious people spout.
Honestly it’s a reiteration of colorblindness, as if we all have the same ability and power to perpetuate harmful acts and that stopping minor-scale acts is the same as stopping major-scale ones.
Like “we all” didn’t chop down a rain forest or build a dam. “We all” didn’t poison our water and food. “We all” are not equally complicit. The same people who committed these acts made it impossible to not buy into and support them.
Consumer activism is a fucking lie, and so is any kind of advocacy for nature without first detaching from capitalist structures that keep us dependent on them for necessities. Anything else is just pacifying class guilt because you have the means to be objective with your dollar.
